🪄 Aftercare 🧼
After 3-5 days, remove the second skin under warm water in the shower
Clean the Tattoo: Gently wash the tattoo with mild, unscented antibacterial soap and lukewarm water. Pat it dry with a clean paper towel or let it air dry
Apply Moisturizer: After cleaning and drying, apply a thin layer of a fragrance-free and dye-free moisturizer or ointment, such as Aquaphor or a tattoo-specific aftercare product
Keep It Clean: Continue to clean the tattoo two to three times a day. Always wash your hands before touching the tattoo to avoid introducing bacteria. You’ll need to keep washing your tattoo the next 2-3 weeks until it’s fully healed
Moisturize Regularly: Apply the moisturizer whenever the tattoo feels dry. Over-moisturizing can cause issues, so use a thin layer each time
Avoid Direct Sunlight: Keep the tattoo out of direct sunlight as UV rays can damage the healing skin and cause fading
Avoid Submerging: Do not submerge the tattoo in water, such as in baths, pools, or hot tubs, to prevent infections. Ew! Showers are fine as long as the tattoo is not soaked
Wear Loose Clothing: Wear loose, clean clothing to avoid irritation and allow the tattoo to breathe.
Do Not Pick or Scratch: As the tattoo heals, it may scab and itch. Resist it!! Avoid picking or scratching to prevent scarring and ink loss
As the tattoo heals, it will fade. The way it fades/how much it fades is dependent on the ink, the body part it’s on, how you healed it, and how I tattooed it. With that being said touch ups are free, reach out to me if you need one :-)
